The Studio Theatre, Ballakermeen School, Douglas
Isle of Man Theatre based in Douglas. As a community theatre, our year-round programme of live events includes contemporary music, classical concerts, dance, comedy, VIP events, all involving a host of other users including local junior schools, drama clubs and dance studios.

There you will see updates on newly released shows or live performances by theatre companies, as well as general press releases for live cinema IOM.
We are proud to offer a programme of live cinema screenings, right here in the heart of Douglas. Witness some of the world’s greatest performances, brought to you live, straight onto the big screen!
Thanks to live cinema, now people all over the world can experience captivating theatre, opera, music and dance, that might otherwise be out of reach. Each broadcast is filmed in front of a live audience in the theatre, from cameras carefully positioned throughout the auditorium to ensure that cinema audiences get the ‘best seat in the house’ view of each production. You need never leave the island in order to view sensational live performances from worldwide theatre companies.
Ballakermeen High School, with its 8th season of live-screening events, is proud to host yet another unforgettable year of professional plays, ballet and operas transmitted from across the Globe into our Studio Theatre for your viewing. We are thrilled to present a new season of shows from companies such as The National Theatre, The Royal Opera House and The Royal Shakespeare Company. Peel Centenary Centre
The Peel Centenary Centre, in the West of the Island and built in 1877, is the only arts and community centre run entirely by volunteers, and hosts a range of theatrical productions, lectures, exhibitions and workshops. Based in Peel, the island's only city due to its cathedral, the Centre offers a great evening venue for people looking for a change from the nightlife in Douglas. There is a range of pubs within walking distance, plenty of spots for a quiet drink, or something to eat before the show.
The centre is also within walking distance of Peel Castle built on St Patrick's Isle in 1392. Not only a great spot for walking around during the day, ghost tours are also available round the Castle during the evening, giving you plenty to do if your event at the Centre is running earlier in the day.
To indulge in more of the Island's history you can also visit the Manx Transportation Museum and House of Manannan during your time in Peel.
Erin Arts Centre, Port Erin
The Erin Arts Centre, is the premier classical music venue on the Isle of Man.
In addition the EAC is a venue for Live Screenings in the South!
In 2015 the EAC installed a satellite dish to show live screenings from around the globe. Live broadcasts include the New York Metropolitan Opera which is seen in over 2000 cinemas in 71 countries around the World. It also shows live transmissions from Glyndebourne, André Rieu, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Paris Ballet and even Cliff Richards.
There are special deals for under 18s. The Erin Arts Centre has a policy that anyone who is under 18 only pays £2 for any event excluding events with meals.
Art Exhibitions: The EAC usually has an art exhibition in the Gallery. Exhibitions are open Monday - Friday 10am - 4:30pm and when events are on. See the months events for current exhibitions. Free entry.

Villa Marina, Douglas
