Group Leader, Paul Gardiner, writes “The Local History group meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 2.15pm and has room for a few new members. Recent discussions have been the Romans in Harpenden and Frank Salisbury. The August meeting looked at the Harpenden Oval. We are always open to suggestions for new topics but have covered Harpenden Common, Harpenden houses and shops, Harpenden names and population growth, Jarvis and Hodgson, Made in Harpenden, Harpenden Ghosts, Harpenden Schools.
