SINGING FOR FUN
We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. 9.45am till midday.
Venue: Trinity Centre Vestry. Car park is at the rear of the Trinity Centre
This group is for everyone, no matter how tuneful ( or otherwise) you are!
The group is new this year. What we lack in voice we make up in enthusiasm. It is so enjoyable and such fun. You would be most welcome to join us . The 2 hours pass very quickly as it is such an uplifting and joyous time.
The cost at the moment is £4.
Either bring your own drink or buy one at the Trinity Centre.
Our short presentation in front of our u3a at the Christmas party was well received on the whole ( though one member asked the committee if they’d ever thought of hiring a professional singer! To put that into perspective,it was actually a member of the singing group who asked!)
We enjoy singing rounds and quodlibets. We usually end up laughing when we lose our place, during the process, but the feeling of satisfaction when we all get it correct is absolutely great. Or as Janet, our leader, might say, “ It is absolutely amazing!”
