At the start of the new year we face a number of challenges. Membership increased last year but has not reached the pre-Covid level. We are still aware of friends who have not really emerged from that awful time. Most of our groups are thriving and the new Singing group provided excellent entertainment at the Christmas party. The Buccaneers are looking at new activities, Kurling numbers have increased, the Sunday lunch group has changed as it had become too big and we are thinking we might need to split into 2 or 3. The Readers and Walkers read and march on. It all sounds very positive but we do need a strong, vibrant committee to keep us on the straight and narrow.
At the AGM in March we welcomed 2 new full committee volunteers and co-opted a further member onto the committee.

A new group was started at the AGM. On Friday afternoons a small group has started playing Snooker at the United Services Club - further details at our April meeting. We have also been contacted by the Gainsborough Croquet Club and we will investigate this further in April.
