Theatre Visits
Much discussion about theatre visits as there are so many things we would like to see, but buying a group tickets is very expensive for the organiser. The outcome is that we will try to make an email group where advertised plays can be seen. Members can then indicate which play they would like to see and when, linking with others who would also like to go . Tickets could be purchased individually or in small groups, or just giving the number of the seat booked so others can sit nearby.
Transport: train to Sheffield. Car to Nottingham or car to Collingham and then train/tram to Nottingham
Pam thinks she may have set up a group email, but …. We’ll see how this goes.

Several of us our going to see the ballet, A Christmas Carol. It will be performed by the Northern Ballet in November in Sheffield. We are going to the matinee on Friday 8th November at 2.0 pm

Our last 2 events
Willow wreath makingThis was a fun morning as Stuart led us through the art of willow wreath making. Occasionally we hadn’t enough hands to hold the willow tight and manipulate it, but we all coped - without taking out anyone’s eye! Although our wreaths were not perfect, we were all pleased with the outcomes.
We then sat back and watched the expert fashion a dragon fly and a reindeer. What a clever man.

We all did better at that than the Escape Rooms. Not our first time doing this activity but this time it was so HARD.

Agenda of the Buccaneer's January Planning Meeting. At the Clockhouse at 1.30pm

May 18th Boat Trip. An excellent day out. Good fun was had by all. Some of our steering wasn't as brilliant as it should have been. But we moored up three times without too much of a problem!

Canal boat 1

July 20th Go Karting. (Payment already made). What fun. Getting into our suits caused a lot of hilarity and as for how we looked in our colourful balaclavas - say no more. We all dealt with the go karting in our own separate ways, getting braver as time went on. Some of our group were brilliant at it, lapping the rest time and again (though one of the intrepid ones did give cause for the yellow flag to be waved!).
