The aim is for this to be an activity-based, guided, mutual-help group for those embarking upon or already undertaking their personal family history research.
In order to gain maximum benefit from our activities, members will need to have access to a personal computer with Internet connectivity. It will also be useful (but not essential) to have access to one of the major genealogy databases (e.g. Ancestry or Find My Past) either by subscription, or by using free access at a local library.
The group will meet monthly for an hour or two in Sleaford. The precise time and venue is still to be decided, as it is dependent upon the size of the group and the personal calendars of members.
This group's activities are currently paused, but may restart subject to demand. The emphasis will be on mutual help with a group leader selected from within the group membership to nominally represent the group.
