Walking Football*
Unfortunately the turnout has been poor for the first session this season, only four turned up. This has proved very popular in the past with up to 20 participants playing on the Blyth Town football club artificial grass field (no clarts).
An announcement will be made at the next meeting on the 26th April and a decision will be made on the future of this group. Please attend the meeting if you wish to be involved in the walking football group.
Walking Football Information
This is a non contact sport which offers members to meet other members and have fun and good exercise. It is open to ladies and men.
We use the Blyth Town football club all weather pitch and this location was very popular with the members of the group last year. Football boots are not allowed and trainers or sports shoes are recommended, track suits or football shorts and shirts can be worn, this is optional. We supply hi vis slip on football vests for each team.
To cover the cost of the hire of the all weather pitch a charge of £3 per session will be charged when attending the session. Toilet facilities are available at the football club.
