Outings

Group Leaders – Ann Fletcher, Pauline Plummer, Sue Pollitt, Jan Smith. Click on Link on the right to contact us

U3a members do not need to sign up to join the Outings Group as all are welcome to participate in any of the outings organised by the group leaders.

Since its inception our u3a members have enjoyed well over a hundred outings which vary from theatre trips, seaside outings, shopping trips, stately homes and gardens, to name just a few.

We are not currently holding group meetings. All our business will be conducted during the monthly general meetings where we will announce details of our planned outings, collect names and take payments. Cheques should be made payable to Woodhall Spa U3A Social

When putting their name down for an outing members should take a note of the name and contact details of the organiser for that particular trip. All payment, travel and ticket details will be publicised in the Newsletter and on the Events page of the Website

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED!

Members should inform the contact name/organiser asap if they decide not to attend or are unable to attend an outing on the day of the trip so that departure is not delayed. Please see the Outings Refund Policy link on this page and also on the policies link on the members page on this website

Sat Jul 27th Tolethorpe and Stamford

Midsummer Night’s Dream – a comedy by William Shakespeare. The coach will leave Woodhall at 9am to arrive at the venue in time for coffee (and a snack if required) before the 11.30am performance.

The theatre is set in the lovely grounds of Tolethorpe Hall and has a 600-seat permanently covered raked auditorium. The woodland backdrop of the stage provides the perfect setting for Shakespeare’s most spellbinding play. This is truly a magical experience.

At the end of the play (approx. 2pm) the coach will take us into nearby Stamford where you will have free time until we return home at 5pm. There are plenty of shops, cafes and pubs in Stamford.

Cost is £35.50 and payment will be collected at the April meeting.
