Who we are
WELCOME TO WOODHALL SPA UNIVERSITY OF THE THIRD AGE - u3a
We are a friendly organisation, welcoming individuals from Woodhall and the surrounding area. Formed in 2009 with 38 members, we have steadily to grown to over 200 members today, limited only by the seating capacity of our usual monthly venue, Coronation Hall.
The u3a movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides, with over 1000 individual u3a's throughout the country, the opportunity for retired and semi-retired people from all backgrounds. We come together to socialise and pursue creative interests in a friendly and informal environment. Members draw upon their knowledge and experience to teach and learn from each other.
It's all voluntary, run by informal activity groups covering a wide range of different subjects. There are no formal qualifications or exams to pass. There is no lower age limit, the only requirement is that you are no longer in full time employment.
If you have knowledge and an interest that we do not cover, please join us and start a new group!
MONTHLY MEETINGS
General Meetings are normally held on the first Thursday of each month in the Coronation Hall, Spa Road, Woodhall Spa, LN10 6QD starting at 2:30 pm.
