Group Leaders: Marion Wheeler | |
When: 4th Thursday of the month at 10:30am | |
Where: Bangladeshi Centre |
The group is flourishing with several new members joining in the lively and often thought provoking discussions. The library continues to provide us with books. These are not always what members would chose for themselves but provide a challenge to broaden our knowledge base and help build opinions. We have a lot of fun trying to guess what we will be given next.
Note. | All books are provided by the Library and there are no charges. |
.
Any members who miss a meeting can call at the Local Studies Centre in what was the Central Library to collect the next book.
.
If you would like to join us or for more information contact Marion

----- Hazel Osmond
I have now written four Romantic Comedies. I love writing with humour and exploring that moment when people fall in love - and what gets in the way of them falling in love.
My first romantic comedy 'Who's Afraid of Mr Wolfe?', was shortlisted for the Romantic Comedy of the Year by the UK's Romantic Novelists' Association and my fourth book 'The Mysterious Miss Mayhew' was one of the Read Regional books chosen by New Writing North in the UK.
----- Lucinda Riley was born in Ireland, and after an early career as an actress in film, theatre and television, wrote her first book aged twenty-four. Her books have been translated into over thirty five languages and sold twenty million copies worldwide. She is a Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller.
Lucinda is currently writing The Seven Sisters series, which tells the story of adopted sisters and is based allegorically on the mythology of the famous star constellation. The first five books, The Seven Sisters, The Storm Sister, The Shadow Sister, The Pearl Sister and The Moon Sister have all been No.1 bestsellers across the world, and the rights to a multi-season TV series have already been optioned by a Hollywood production company.
