Wearside Groups
As well as attending the monthly meeting, members are encouraged to participate in and enjoy leisurely learning by joining one or more of the 27 groups. Each group has a leader/co-ordinator, who has an interest in, or may even have expertise in the group activity or topic. All learning is shared in a sociable, friendly atmosphere.
The groups meet at several venues eg. members' homes, the Sunderland Library or the Bangladeshi Centre. Usually there is a 50p - £1 contribution towards refreshments/expenses.
