World Geography

Have you ever wanted to know more about the world we live in? Here is an opportunity. Geography is the study of the surface features of our planet and of the people that live there.
The idea for this group is to have a regular monthly meeting at which one topic is the subject of an illustrated presentation followed by questions and open discussion. Topics overall would be aimed at places members have been or would like to be going to. They will be worldwide and after the first few meetings topics for the future will be open for discussion. Illustration will mainly be photos and line diagrams

Climate, extreme weather, volcanoes, earthquakes, great rivers, great man made changes, rain forests, population and food resources, changing transport and agriculture, all this and much more is open for study topics.
