The Wildfowler, Terrington St Clements

Friday July 27th 2021

The intrepid band of Bus Passers had their second post-lockdown outing at The Wildfowler in Terrington St. Clements on Friday July 27th 2021.

The 505 Bus is our preferred transport and with Lewis Hamilton’s double at the wheel we arrived ahead of schedule, a little shaken if not stirred!

In all we were a group of 13 which included Sue and Roger’s grand-daughter, Maggie, of 8 months. As Group Leader I recognise that Maggie does not meet all the criteria to be a u3a member but as she is not yet in full time employment ……

The weather, it has to be said, was not brilliant but the company was excellent and the Wildfowler now boasts a huge, covered, outside area so we were more than content.

After spending a very pleasant 2 hours full of chatter and laughter we decided to catch our planned return bus ride. Unfortunately the bus stop had no shelter but we were armed with brollies and the bus was more or less on time depending upon who was reading the timetable.

We returned home wet on the inside as well as the outside ;)!
