In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the u3a in the UK, the East of England Region wanted to compile a booklet of walks in their area. The walks were all to take place in September 2022. We were asked to send a write up and photos of our September walk and submit it to the co-ordinators of the booklet.
We were just one of the 36 u3a's in the Eastern Region, comprising of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, that sent a contribution. All the contributions were duly collated and turned into an excellent booklet of walks.
Our walk, which was in Plotlands (Langdon Nature Reserve) is in the booklet, along with the photos Michael Farman took on the day. It is part of a colourful, informative and interesting collection of walks across the Eastern Region and we are delighted to be included in it.
