Westley Heights walk Jan 2023

Ten intrepid amblers ventured out on a very cold but sunny January day, for the first amble of the year. The paths glittered with frost and there were some icy patches to negotiate, but it was an enjoyable amble around Westley Heights. It wasn't busy there, we had the paths to ourselves and could spread out, take our time and chat as we walked.
We made another visit to Peach and Humbug, the large pigs in their enclosure just off the main path. They were snuggled up and cosy in their warm sty and didn't even open an eye to see who it was that had come to see them.
Checking our watches, it was time for Miller and Carter to open their doors, so we made our way back there and sat in the warmth of the bar, enjoying our teas and coffees. A very nice start to the year.
