General Notes for all members
• We would ask that you please check and update your personal details by logging on to our new Beacon membership management system using the link to the Members Portal. You will require your membership number, email address and postcode to log on. Details were provided in the email sent to members in February 2024 but can be obtained by sending an email to the Membership Secretary. When you log on, you will be asked to provide a password which you will be able to use in future to access the members portal.

• If you have a disability or health issue which is likely to affect your continued involvement in any Groups, we would appreciate that you inform the Membership Secretary who will try to accommodate your needs.

• If you want to subscribe to the Third Age Matters magazine, would you please let the Membership Secretary know and either send a cheque for £3.60 so that payment for the magazine can be made, or ask the Membership Secretary for details so that you can make a bank transfer.

• New and lapsed members will have to pay the full annual fee as normal and can do so using the form attached to the Membership Page

• A Membership Card WILL NOT BE ISSUED. If asked, you should quote your membership number.

Your membership entitles you to join as many interest groups as you wish providing there are spaces. There is also an opportunity to join one group in a neighbouring u3a, via our reciprocal agreements. From April 2023, there is no fee for those attending Monthly Meetings but Interest Groups may require a small contribution to running costs – refreshments, materials, sheet music etc.

Associate Membership for those who are already a paid-up member of another u3a costs £10.50. This allows the person to be involved in all our activities.

Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal details will be held on a secure database and will be used solely for the purpose of administration and the distribution of u3a communications. They will never be supplied to an outside agency or party other than for you to receive Third Age Matters Magazine by direct mail and to claim Gift Aid entitlement from HMRC.
