One in one
The interest group, "one-in-one ", formerly known as "half-in-half", is a play on words. It has been described by some people as a pub crawl. Although the group visits several licensed establishments on each outing, Peter describes it as a social gathering. If he chooses five pubs to visit during an afternoon, there is only time to spend half an hour in each and consume half a pint (or whatever members prefer). Likewise, if he chooses to visit only three pubs, then there is time to spend one hour in each and consume one pint (or whatever preference). The main objective of the group is to socialise with other U3A members, in a pleasant environment, enjoying each other's company, conversation and getting to know new friends.
The group aims to meet once a month on various days usually meeting at around 2 pm and all members of the group are emailed with date, time and details of how to get to the venue.
