A Mixed Bag

Today (2024-05-13) the Oversights database holds entries for 534 sites still managed by the Site Builder, 115 sites hosted at SiteWorks, and 10 independent sites which did not migrate from the Site Builder but have adopted the SiteWorks framework. We also have records for some external sites whose details have been gathered by web searches and 'screen-scraping', and which it may be possible to use in the same way as the others. All the numbers are subject to change on a daily basis as sites migrate from the Site Builder to SiteWorks - this page will always show the latest totals.

The Site Builder database holds geographical information about published sites, and the relevant data is retained when they move to SiteWorks, making it possible to show the positions of both lots of sites on the same map, and present search results under geographical areas. To see an example, find all the sites with 'wood' in their names and where they are situated. Just type 'wood' into the search box above and press Return or 'Go'.

Below is a table of the most-visited web pages at http://u3asites.org.uk for the previous month, based on totals normally provided for site administrators. This is the kind of summary which is easy to produce from a central database, but much less so from a collection of independent sites. So it will become progressingly less accurate as more and more sites migrate to SiteWorks. In practice the figures have always been fairly approximate!
