Philosophy

We are a Philosophy Group with meetings taking place on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 11.00am at Penrhiwllan Village Hall.

We cover a large range of subjects from the various divisions of philosophy or specific subjects that may be in the news at the time, such as Human Rights, relationships, government etc. trying to look at the subject from a philosophical point of view.

We also may choose to look at the work and writings of a particular philosopher.

The subject is briefly introduced, then open to discussion by everyone. It does help to read a little about the subject but not necessary.

The object is to explore philosophy, to enable us to think and learn a little about the philosophical approach, but also to enjoy the meeting. There is usually much laughter.

If you have any queries or questions about the Group please contact Alison Dowling who runs the group.

Current information can be found in the monthly Newsletter.
