Group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 2pm to 4pm

Venue KCC Room 5

Overview
If you want to know definitively what to do with a drunken sailor, meet someone who claims to be a native of South Australia or hear tall tales of tall ships, then this is the group for you.

We'll be singing traditional shanties from the days of sail, more reflective songs of love and loss together with modern material that harks back to those long gone days.

Shanties are normally led by a shantyman who sings the verses and the rest of the group belt out the chorus, nearly always a capella. Sometimes it's 'all in' throughout a song. Anyone can be that shantyman, so I encourage you to bring your own favourites to the table.

Lyrics will be sent by email in advance of each meeting for you to print out or download onto a mobile device.
