Financial Awareness
The group aims to improve the financial awareness of its members about issues of everyday living, spending, giving, investing and saving. This group, now 4years old, agrees monthly subjects with contribution provided by research commentary, personal experience and discussion of members. It also reviews the investment climate with the help of shadow portfolios.
Subjects have included inflation, savings and investment options, currency transactions, insurance, and legal needs like powers of attorney. Particularly latterly, financial and cost pressures on the economy and its people have had a priority. We know much about energy costs!
