Out and About
Group members have a range of activities travelling around Argyll and beyond. The group has no regular meeting dates or times but goes to events in Oban and the West of Scotland.
The Group will be helping to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the RNLI by viewing "Launch" in the in the Phoenix Cinema on Saturday, 9th March.

The Group viewed 'One Life' starring Anthony Hopkins in the local Phoenix Cinema recently. It is the story of British stockbroker Nicholas Winton who visits Czechoslovakia in the 1930s and forms plans to assist in the rescue of Jewish children before the onset of World War II, in an operation that came to be known as the Kindertransport.
A New Year Afternoon Tea was recently held in the Perle.
The Group visited the Burrell Collection in Pollock, Glasgow with a short talk followed by a personal guided tour by a friend of Bob’s who is a volunteer at the Burrell.
Some of the 'Out and About' group visited the newly upgraded Kilmartin Museum. The outing was enjoyed by all and the museum was impressive. The trip was rounded off with a lunch at the Kilmartin Hotel.
Another recent outing was a bus trip to Glasgow to see Matthew Bourne's ballet Romeo and Juliet.
