Oban

Scottish History

The aim of the group is to help members understand the events that created Scotland today. New members are welcome to join.

On the second Tuesday of the month at 14.30 in Oban library.

We next meet at 14.30 on Tuesday 9th April, in the library. We’re taking a break from textual violence to see how artefacts can help our understanding of the past. So, with different members championing different figures among the Lewis chess pieces, we’ll see what can be determined in an atmosphere of harmony. There are over sixty extant pieces from four sets, so newcomers are welcome. Pick your favourite and
come to argue his, or her, part.
