Wheathampstead u3a - NEW for 2024

SAVE THE DATE Wheathampstead u3a has been going for 10 years now and on 10th May we are planning a very special evening celebration. Details to follow . . .

  • Coffee Mornings : Open to all u3a members on the second Wednesday of the month from 10.30am at our lovely local pub ‘The Swan’. Come in, grab a badge so you can see who is who and get your coffee and biscuits for £3. You can even stay on for a good value, home made, pub lunch!
  • Workshops : We have now started running short term Workshops, of one to four weeks, on subjects which may be new to you or where you want to brush up your skills. Places, for normally around eight participants, are allocated on a first come, first served basis. They all take place at the Chapel Halls or the Marford Memorial Hall from 10am to 12noon on a Monday or Tuesday morning and you only pay for materials, plus tuition when it is provided by an outside organisation. Normally the workshops are run by fellow members of our u3a. All members receive an email four weeks before the workshop and then respond to the Committee Lead for that workshop subject.

Quarter Two 2024

  • Quilling and Card making - 9, 16 & 23 April
  • Birds - 30 April and 7, 14 May
  • Computing 2 - 24 June and 1 July
  • First Aid - 29 July

In future quarters we are planning More Computing, Money Matters, First Aid and Mixed Crafts.
