Skegness

Local History

The History Group is for anyone interested in the history of Skegness and the surrounding areas and in history generally. We meet on the first Wednesday in the month at 2pm in Skegness Library. This is usually up on the mezzanine floor accessible by lift.

Topics covered recently include Lincolnshire canals, Horncastle, Agriculture in Lincolnshire, Windmills and Draining the Fens.

The library put out lots of material relevant to the topic we are doing and the emphasis is on the members joining in with their own experiences.

The Group Leader can be contacted through the Blue Bird to the right of this page
