British History

The British History Group's aim is to learn about society, characters and contributing factors behind historical periods and events in an enjoyable and accessable way.

We are a varied bunch, sharing an interest in History and a love of discovering new things about the past. We like to come away from our friendly meetings having learnt something new.

Having decided on which area of History we want to study, we prepare and enjoy talks, guest speakers and outings over the following months. Subjects we have covered so far include: The Victorians, The English Civil War and The Romans.

Begining in September 2019, our latest topic is The Twentieth Century.

We would love you to come and join us.
