Woolmer Forest

Bridge

We play standard Rubber Bridge, using the ACOL system, as this is the most sociable and popular amongst our members.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept absolute beginners into the Group but we welcome those with a good basic knowledge and are always happy to help with advice on bidding or any other aspect of the game. You do not need to bring a partner.

In addition to playing, we are a very sociable group who love to celebrate special occasions, such as birthdays and we generally enjoy ourselves!

Any non U3A member who can play Bridge can come along for two weeks, free of charge, to see if they like it before becoming a member.

If you are looking to learn the game, Cynthia can recommend a good teacher She can also advise anyone wanting to play the more competitive game of Duplicate Bridge.

Subscription: £2 per session, including refreshments.

Group Leader: Cynthia Cooper

Venue: Whitehill Village Hall Activity Room

Time: 2pm - 5pm, most Wednesdays throughout the year.

NB: dates may be subject to change. New members should contact Membership Secretary on 07411053565 or email woolmerfu3a@gmail.com for more details.
