Historic Visits
Usually meet on the third Thursday of every month - Full details and times will be advised.
We visit places of historic interest, on occasions it is necessary to move the meeting to another date if, for example, we discover there is a reduced fee for entry on a particular day. We use either a local coach company or our own transport; and in the case of the latter we ask that passengers share the cost of the fuel and parking with the cars' owners.
We will advise about the cost of transport from Blandford to the destination, and entry into the country house. Refreshments are not included in the estimate.
Generally speaking, our excursions take place between April and October, inclusive; but we might offer an additional one if we discover there is an exhibition at, say, the British Museum.
We are starting to make arrangements for 2024, further information will be published in due course.
