Much Wenlock - Perkley Walk

It was the perfect weather for this fairly short walk (5K); bright and sunny with a bit of a breeze.

There is a lovely mixture of views on this walk, which starts with a gentle steady climb up a narrow wooded gully, coming out into open fields, giving a beautiful view back over Much Wenlock. After walking across open fields we passed the derelict buildings of Perkley Farm and climbed up a short steep hill giving views of the Clee Hills. We were happy to see a bench at the top of this hill, where we rested enjoying the views before continuing on.

There is one short stretch of main road to negotiate with care for about 200m before crossing into a beautiful meadow, crossing a style and following path back into Much Wenlock, where we stopped for refreshments and a look round the town.
