MONTHLY MEETING

Our monthly meetings are held at The METHODIST CHURCH Wellington, on the 2nd Thursday of the month starting at 2.00PM. Visitors Welcome.

Our last outings were a visit to Stokesay Castle and Ludlow in October 2022 and Hereford Cathedral in May 2023.
Our pre Christmas shopping trip to Trentham Village on Monday 6th November was a great success.
Our next outing will be in the Autumn of 2024.

Wellington Midsummer Fayre
We will be having our usual stall at the Wellington Midsummer Faire on Saturday 8th June 2024. Come along to meet some of the members and find out a bit more about us. We will also have plants for sale at very reasonable prices.

10th Anniversary
Our branch of u3a will be celebrating it's 10th year at our October meeting in 2024. Details to follow shortly.

RUBY ANNIVERSARY
We celebrated 40 years of the u3a in the UK on Thursday 8th September 2022. The members were joined by the deputy Mayor of Wellington Cllr Anthony Lowe, the Mayor of Telford and Wrekin Cllr Raj Mehta, the Minister Rev. Roger Dunlop and the Custodian Mrs Barbara Murray of the Wellington Methodist

Thu May 9th Local historian, Jon King will speak on Charles Darwin and his connection with Wellington and the rest of Shropshire.
Thu Jun 13th Natalie Cumming will bring us "The Fiddle" that accompanied her family through tragedy and triumph. Many of you will have seen the restoration of this remarkable instrument on 'The Repair Shop'.
Thu Jul 11th Gabriela la Foley will entertain us with her own brand of music and dance.
Thu Aug 8th Come and join us for our games afternoon. Sharpen your skills or try something completely new.
Thu Sep 12th Join Graham Short as he displays his work as a microartist.
Thu Oct 10th We celebrate our 10th birthday with honoured guests.
Thu Nov 14th Mike Hughes will speak to us on the hidden delights of the Dothill Nature Reserve.
Thu Dec 12th We have the Shrewsbury Handbells to entertain us at our Christmas gathering.
