Self guided walks
Self -guided walks no 35(Arrington), 42(Much Hadham),and 43(Thorley_Spellbrook Nature reserve) are in preparation. S-G walk 45, is reserved for Newport to Safron Walden walk
During the Covid lockdowns we were able to go out for exercise, but not walk as a group. During this period we recognised a need to provide self-guided walks that people can print off simple maps and instructions.
The Government recognised that getting out in the countryside and doing a brisk walk is beneficial to our health. To aid this we have devised a series of walks and instructions that can be used to self guide you round the area. They all start and finish in quiet places. They are designed to get you out into parts of the countryside that are not far from our Thorley base. They will lead you to areas that you probably have not walked before. This way we can update the instructions and check that they are correct.
You can print the map and instructions from the website. I suggest you put them into a clear A4 plastic pocket.
