February 3rd – a book featuring an animal / animals
March 3rd – an adventure/exploration
April NB 14th (Not Good Friday) - a book written in English by someone outside UK – American, Australian, Canada etc
May 5th (note day before coronation – should we move to 12th?) – Royalty – factual or fictional
June 2nd – Borrowing a character – taking either an historical person, or a fictional one, from another author
July 7th – a local writer
August 4th – you can judge a book by its cover – favourite book jackets and covers.
September 1st – Political – biography, history, novels
October 6th - short stories – genre and exponents
November 3rd – a book in translation – incl. the literature of France, Russia, Germany etc
December 1st - Christmas is coming – a seasonal episode from a book
