9 Mile Walk

When: Fridays, 4th week of the month
Time: 09.30 set off time
Where: Country walking around East Herts and West Essex, all within 15 miles of Sawbridgeworth
How: We enjoy a brisk circular country walk of about 9 miles finishing at lunchtime at a place of refreshment, usually a pub. We take a break at the halfway point for which members are encouraged to bring light refreshments. We follow a pre-planned route on public rights of way in the form of footpaths, tracks and highways. Members are advised to wear walking shoes or walking boots to suit variable ground conditions and suitable protective clothing to deal with all variety of British weather conditions. We are 20 walkers at present and would welcome more members.
Why: Because it is a healthy, educational and sociable activity all in the open air and in our lovely countryside.
