Golf Croquet
at The British Queen Pub, Meldreth

Beginners course for the Croquet group will be starting on 12th July at 2.30 pm

It is a 3 week course starting on Wednesday 12th July at 2.30pm at Meldreth Croquet Club's lawn behind the British Queen pub in Meldreth. All equipment is supplied by the club in return for £3 per session per person lawn fees. On completion of the course players will then be able to join our very friendly group on Monday mornings between 10.15am and 12.15pm for gentle exercise and lots of laughs.

Places will be limited so anyone interested should contact suebarnesbishop@gmail.com or 01763 246703 to reserve a place or for more information.

This group is only available to fully paid up members of Royston u3a.

Normal Croquet Time: 10.15 am for practice and 10.30 am start of play (please do not arrive early as it will impact on the preparation and safety measures that are being put in place.)#
The lawn fees which are paid to Meldreth Croquet club are remaining the same at £3 per session but players are now being asked to pay for 5 weeks in advance with a £10 and £5 note to keep cash handling to a minimum. This will not leave players out of pocket as any money members are in credit for at the end of the season will be refunded. If you intend playing, please check your emails before attending as if it is decided to cancel any sessions an email wil be sent to you as close to 9.00am as possible.

A reminder to park on the road and not the pub carpark. If the gate to the car park is closed you can still access the lawn from the far side of the pub. Don't forget to bring your water, sunhats and hopefully sun block!
You must be members of Royston U3A to play. If you paid last year after April your membership has automatically been extended for this year but if not you must rejoin. Membership forms are available on Royston U3A Welcome page, if you are not sure if you have paid your subscription you can check with the Membership Secretary Marion Martin on marionroystonu3a@gmail.com
