Board Games
1st & 3rd Mondays at the group leader's home in Paignton, 2nd & 4th Mondays at the Chelston Manor, Old Mill Road, Torquay TQ2 6HW
This group is for people who enjoy playing board and card games. It is aimed at people who are familiar with popular board games such as Monopoly and Scrabble, and are willing to learn some of the more recently developed family games such as Carcassonne, Catan and Ticket to Ride.
The group leader has over 150 games in his possession. He will send you a list when you join, so feel free to suggest one you would like to play. No previous experience of the games will be necessary. In most cases he will be able to email you the rules if you would like to learn them in advance, but they will be explained on the day.
This group will be shared with Torbay u3a and numbers will be limited to 6 people per session on a first come first served basis. You would not be expected to attend every week if you have other commitments.
Tea or coffee will be provided at the group leader's home at a cost of £1. At the Chelston Manor, you will be expected to buy a drink from the bar.
