Groups

Interest groups are run by individuals within Paignton u3a for fellow members.

Anyone wishing to join a group is advised to make contact with the relevant group leader for details regarding the venue; most groups run monthly and the time of day/specific date within the month are noted on this page. Contact with a group leader can be made by clicking the dove from above at the top right of this page, and selecting your group of choice.

If you're interested in starting a different group yourself, please contact the Committee in the first instance. We welcome interest in increasing the number of groups we can run! A group leader controls the month-to-month running of the group, ensuring its progress within u3a guidelines.

Meeting places are many and varied, ranging from members' homes to meeting rooms, generally around Paignton. The meeting cost is usually less than a fiver, and in some cases considerably less than that. Materials and/or external memberships/fees incur extra cost.

Paignton u3a is on the lookout for leaders to step up and take on some of our existing groups. Can you help? Currently without group leaders are:

• Armchair Explorers (but please see there is an update - and make contact if you are interested in joining)
• Art (although members may attend the group run by Preston & Livermead)
• Breakfast Club
• Bridge
• Lunch Club (although members may attend the Wednesday group run by Torbay)
• Gardening Club
• Photography
• Pins and Needles
