Hartlepool U3A usually meets on the 1st Friday of the month at 2pm. The meeting takes place in

St JOSEPHS CHURCH COMMUNITY HALL on Hutton Avenue (TS26 9PW if you have a SatNav)

Fri Jul 3rd Mike Lister: ‘Sir Stafford Raffles – founder of Singapore’. Raffles was Lieutenant-Governor of the Dutch East Indies and Lieutenant-Governor of Bencoolen and is the founder of modern Singapore and the British Malaya.
Fri Aug 7th There will be no meeting in August as the hall will be closed
Fri Sep 4th Fool’s Gold: ‘Bang Up To The Elephant’. Folk due Fool’s Gold return with a set about all things Victorian (and maybe even an explanation of what elephants have to do with things).
Fri Oct 2nd Gordon Henderson: ‘Roman Military’. This will be a return visit for Gordon Henderson, who gave a popular and entertaining talk on ‘Roman Medicine’ in October 2019
Fri Nov 6th Ken Williams, a local man from Hartlepool, will present a selection of monologues in north country verse.
Fri Dec 4th Ray Elliston & Barry Liddle: ‘Hartlepool Legend: The Chick Henderson Story’. Ray and Barry (both U3A members) will feature the singing career and war service of the popular singer Chick Henderson – through photographs and music.
