Welcome to the Grimsby & Cleethorpes u3a website. The u3a is a national and international organisation for the retired or semi-retired. It provides educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment. Skills & experiences are shared in a variety of ways through meetings, talks, social & group activities.
No qualifications are sought or offered, learning is for its own sake. Rather than paying people to teach, members are encouraged to share their knowledge and talents with other members. Enjoyment and not an award is the prime motivation.
We are a friendly, relaxed group of like-minded people and activities are based mostly in small groups which meet regularly, usually during daylight hours, often in members' homes or hired venues.
