Photo Competition 2021

14th October 2021

EALING U3A PHOTO COMPETITION 2021

WINNING ENTRIES

JUDGE: Michael Lurie (Photographer and member of Chorleywood U3A).

This year, Michael judged 98 entries from 20 members across 4 categories: Architecture, Flowers, Sport and Transport. There were no entries in the My Favourite Photo category. Michael added that he would have liked to have seen more members take part.

The standard of the entries was much improved, suggesting that Michael’s talk last year ‘What it takes to get that shot‘ had a positive effect. Nevertheless, he had to make some very tough decisions, in each of the four categories shown below.

As in previous years, it is important to state that the judging was carried out “blind”, i.e. the names of the photographers were hidden so that the judge was not able to see who had submitted the entries until after each prize winner was announced.
