Monthly meetings - 1st Thursday of the month - 2-4pm - October to April at Lochvale House (formerly known as Georgetown Community Centre), Georgetown Road, Dumfries, DG14DF
There is a monthly meeting held at Lochvale House on the first Thursday of the month. This features a guest speaker and the subjects cover a diverse spectrum of subjects. These are always followed by refreshments, with sufficient time to catch up with old friends and chat. We also enjoy an annual outing, generally in May.

Outing to Hopetoun House, South Queensferry near Edinburgh.
Visit Hopetoun and discover a place of beauty, tranquillity and architectural magnificence dating from the 17th century filled with stunning collections and scenic walks.
One of the delights of Hopetoun is a visit to the Stables Kitchen, a clever restoration of the 18th Century Adam Stables transformed into a comfortable and cosy eatery.
The grounds at Hopetoun include fantastic trails to explore and enjoy wonderful surroundings of Hopetoun House.
Our trip includes:
Leaving Dumfries at 9 a.m. returning about 5.30 p.m.
Travel from Dumfries to Hopetoun and return by Coach
Coffee/tea and scone on arrival
Introduction and self guided tour
Guided tour of 1st and 2nd floors of the house
Shop to visit
The cost per person for this package is £27.50
Lunch is available to buy or you can take a picnic lunch to enjoy in the grounds.
