Old church visits

This is the last copy of the old church visits group as of feb 2024
The Churches & Historic Buildings Visiting Group has a programme of monthly visits, visiting two or three churches / historic buildings on each occasion. For the most part we share our cars to do this and usually take our lunch in local pubs. The day of the visit will vary according to the venues.
During the winter months visits are mostly confined to churches & cathedrals as they are the only places open.
We hope to learn about a wide variety of architectural styles and to see a good diversity of furnishings / artefacts during our visits. I try to organise guides for each church / historic building we go to. The links on the right show notes & photos selection of past visits.

Members of U3A’s are able to go into all English Heritage venues gratis.
