Groups

Please contact your group leader to check the current status of your group.
A good way to find out more about a group is to try it out. If you would like to attend a group session as a 'taster' then please contact the group leader. They will be delighted to hear from you.

Interest groups aim to share knowledge, skills and experience in an enjoyable way with no major financial outlay. Groups meet as often as they choose but typically weekly, fortnightly or monthly. New groups are formed as required by members and we always welcome and encourage the formation of new groups.

All interest groups are self-financing and develop according to the members' wishes.
The costs of running a group are shared amongst the members of that group, eg to cover the cost of a venue and refreshments, and car sharing is encouraged. Attendance at meetings may be subject to the space available at the venue.

You can join a group at any time. Don't worry about having to "catch up", the Group Organiser will help you settle in and the other group members will make you very welcome.

If viewing through a mobile phone browser the "carrier pigeon" will be found towards the bottom of the group page page. The Groups calendar is shown below.
We hope you find something of interest. If not - and you have any ideas for other activities - we would love to hear from you. Members have asked if it would be possible to have the following groups: Films/ cinema visits, guitar tuition, Computers IT support, Bridge, Motor bike group for ride outs. We need people to come forward to help start these, so if we can encourage anyone to consider helping please let Jo Penning know.
