A very noisy coffee morning this August with the biggest group we have had enjoying coffee and cake.
July
Another successful coffee morning this July. Twenty people enjoyed coffee and cake, which was delicious as usual.
June
Another lovely coffee morning in The Hay Loft. We had new members join us as well as the usual group. We now have the tables at the opposite end of the room away from the counter. Were we making too much noise?
May 16th
The monthly Coffee morning was held at the Hay Loft last Tuesday.
The menu has changed a little and prices have risen slightly but the conversation was varied and noisy as usual. Twenty people attended and many stayed for lunch.
Tuesday 21st March
Another lively coffee morning this month, summed up by a conversation that I had with a lady sitting at the table next to us. “Are you using this chair? If not can we please borrow it?”
“By all means, help yourself, I have no friends unlike your group which seems very friendly”Unfortunately she was too young and working but I think she may be interested in joining a u3a group at some time in the future.
November saw another busy Coffee morning at the Hay loft in Mole Avon country store.
There seem to be some new staff in the coffee shop. We soon educated them in our ways so the service was quick and the coffee was delicious.☕️
Octobers Meeting
The October coffee morning was very well attended. We are a very noisy bunch and seem to fill The Hay Loft with talk and laughter each month.
Do come and join us, everyone is welcome.
Septembers Meeting
It was cake all round as someone had a birthday this month. Once again lots of old faces, or should I say familiar faces, and some new members. Mole Avon are creating a refill area in the space where we have had our tables in the past so we are now in the main café area. I think the idea of using less plastic is a good one and hope u3a members will support this new enterprise by our local independent store.
August Meeting
A large group of us enjoyed coffee in The Hay Loft at Mole Avon Country Stores this month. Some of our regulars were on holiday but we were joined by new members who enjoyed their coffee and a chat. Several members stayed for lunch.
July meeting
We had a good turn out for July’s coffee morning despite several of our regulars being away on holiday ( remember holidays?). Coffee, cake and sausage baps were enjoyed as usual.

June Meeting 21st june
It’s lovely to see people coming together and chatting over coffee and cake. There were sixteen members at this month’s coffee morning. The Hay Loft welcome us each month with a smile and things are beginning to feel normal again. It’s a lovely opportunity to talk with new people and learn about the activities of the different groups which are such a big part of u3a.
17th Mays Meeting
Coffee was drunk, cakes and savoury delights were enjoyed at this month’s coffee morning last Tuesday. All are welcome, old members, new members and potential members.
19th April
Thirteen of us met for coffee this morning at Mole Avon. There was plenty of conversation, delicious cake and some even stayed for lunch.
15th Feb
Our first coffee morning at the Hay Loft in Mole Avon Country Store was a very convivial affair. Apart from a few problems with the service,( they are not used to large groups), members old and new enjoyed a prolonged chat while enjoying coffee and other nourishment. The cafe manager was pleased to have us there and has offered us a discount next time.
Decembers Meeting
The Three Little Pigs provided coffee and cake for members old and new and conversation flowed throughout.
November16th
Despite having to finish early because the Three Little Pigs was preparing for a funeral, new members and old enjoyed a chance to socialise and drink coffee together.
People were delighted that u3a has remained so active, via zoom, for the last year but there is no substitute for a face to face conversation.
The next coffee morning will be on Tuesday 14th December at the normal time 11.00 until 12.30. All are welcome.
First meeting Tuesday 19th sept
Freshly brewed coffee and home made cake awaited a small group of us at the Three Little Pigs last Tuesday. This was a chance to talk about and sign up to the numerous U3A groups and an opportunity to chat with members old and new.
