Walks are normally held monthly from March to October and all members are welcome
Walks take place on Saturdays (usually the fourth Saturday of the month unless otherwise advised) and are of about 5-7 miles length at a moderate pace, lasting 2-3 hours. Normally, we meet at 9.30 am in the Manor Road Park car park for car share/lifts, or at the advised starting point for a 10.00 am start. Walk leaders are shown in the list of walks. The group usually have a "pork pie" during the walk. Final details of walks are sent by email to walkers on the Group Leader's contact list within a week of the walk date. Information includes grade, ground conditions, meeting places etc.
THE WALKING GROUP WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING RULES (updated as of Jan 2024) :
Currently walkers must register before each walk with the Group Leader -(no limit to the number of walkers).
Pre-booked places only.
Anyone showing coronavirus symptoms or from a household in which anyone is in self-isolation cannot join a walk
All walks are liable to change or cancellation.
