WRITERS COMPETITION
Hello, I am helping to organise the Gloucestershire Writers Network competition this year, and I wondered if you would be kind enough to put a link on your website?

The competition is for anyone aged 16+ in Gloucestershire or South Gloucestershire, and the winners will be invited to read their work at our event at The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival. There are prizes for the winners, also the chance to be in our anthology for winners/highly commended.

I am writing to thank you for your support for the Churchdown Hill application. I am delighted to say that the application was successful and Enovert Community Trust has awarded us a grant so that we can undertake the access and improvement works. We are absolutely thrilled with their decision, Churchdown Hill is such a beautiful site and the improvements will really help to improve access and enjoyment for everyone.
We are beginning the work to remove some of the vegetation that is overhanging the paths now.
Due to the current condition of the site we won't be able to start the work on the paths and steps until the it dries up a bit (most probably June/July).
Thank you so much for your help and support with the application. The level of community support we had for the application was amazing and I am sure made a huge difference to the application.
Now that the evenings are getting lighter, I hope that you are able to enjoy your local woodlands. The catkins on the hazels trees where I live look amazing and I'm looking forward to the first blossoms. If you'd like a few tips on what else to look out for you might enjoy this recent article.
