This is a group which started in October 2015
There were twelve members at this meeting. We set out to decide how we might run the meetings. It was agreed that we follow an existing format used by other u3a Humour Groups.
We would break the two hour session in two halves. The first half would aim to be “informative” on a range of topics relating to H. The topics might range from those individuals who provide the stimulus or the different media that present opportunities for H. This part of the meeting would be the ‘Focus’. The second half would be given to “entertainment” of ourselves by ourselves.
The structure of the sessions may be changed to suit our needs as necessary.
It was unanimously agreed that we would at all times follow the general standards of common decency with respect to language and personal beliefs and ethnicity.It was clear from the general discussions and banter that our main motive for being present was to have some fun. The meetings will be at 10.00 for 10.15 at a members house.
