Safeguarding Officer
Responsibilities

  • To promote safeguarding within the BandD U3A venues and working with others to ensure a safe and inclusive environment is achieved.
  • To work with others in the BandD U3A to ensure Safeguarding, Diversity and Inclusion information, including policies, reporting procedures and details of the Safeguarding Officer are visible and available.
  • To ensure Safeguarding, Diversity and Inclusion is on the agenda at committee meetings.
  • To act as the first point of contact for all BandD U3A members where concerns about welfare, discrimination, poor practice or abuse has been identified.
  • To work with the Committee and National Office, where required, to facilitate the completion of any action plan to address the results of an audit.

Commitment

  • 2hrs once a month to attend a committee meeting.
  • Attendance at key events, such as Monthly Meetings.
