Equipment Officer
Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for holding a key to the Equipment Cupboard located at the George Moore Centre.
  • To transport and set up the equipment (stored in the George Moore Community Centre cupboard) in the Royal British Legion Hall for the speakers attending the Monthly Meetings.
  • To ensure the equipment is maintained and functional and, where required, arrange for repair or replacements.
  • When required, provide equipment for ad-hoc events.
  • Maintain a list of all equipment (using MS Excel) for asset evaluation purposes.
  • Be aware of any safeguarding issues that may arise and follow through the appropriate channels as deemed necessary for resolution.

Commitment

  • 2hrs once a month to attend a committee meeting.
  • 4hrs once a month to set up, attend and clear away the equipment for each Monthly Meeting.
  • As and when necessary support ad-hoc events or personal requests to use some of the equipment.
  • Transport required to transfer equipment back and forth from GMCC to RBL or other location.

Skills Required

  • No technical knowledge is required as training would be provided where necessary.
