Beacon Administrator/Deputy Administrator
Responsibilities

  • To provide full administrative access to the BandD U3A Membership database system (Beacon) to undertake various supporting activities such as resetting passwords, resolution of operator queries, changing/adding access rights, etc.
  • Prepare and test the Beacon system in readiness for Membership renewal.
  • Be the contact point between the BandD U3A and Beacon Support office to relay any communications and updates back to the BandD U3A operators.
  • When required, provide training and support for new users.
  • Be aware of any safeguarding issues that may arise and follow through the appropriate channels as deemed necessary for resolution.

Commitment

  • 2hrs once a month to attend a committee meeting.
  • An average of 2 hours per week to review and forward any communication from Beacon Support Office.
  • An average of 2 hours prior to Membership Renewal (once a year) to ensure the system is correctly set up for accepting renewals and printing of correct Membership cards.
  • An average of 2 hours per month to resolve operator issues.

Skills Required

  • Basic computer literacy with internet access and ability to send/receive emails.
