Responsibilities

  • Managing the BandD U3A membership database.
  • Welcoming new members including sending introduction emails and arranging a welcome meeting.
  • Managing the membership renewals process including sending out reminders via post or email and providing the required updated instructions to the Webmaster for posting onto the BandD U3A website.
  • Liaise with Treasurer regarding members’ payment of subscriptions and Gift Aid.
  • Chasing up members who have not paid their annual subscription and managing general membership queries.
  • Provide a Membership Report for the monthly committee meeting.
  • Provide membership details for TAM subscriptions.
  • Producing new annual Membership and Renewal forms for the Webmaster to post on the BandD U3A website.
  • Ensure that the Data Protection Act requirements are adhered to.
  • Be aware of any safeguarding issues that may arise and follow through the appropriate channels as deemed necessary for resolution.

Commitment

  • 2hrs once a month to attend a committee meeting.
  • An average of 2 to 3 hours per month to manage membership records and welcome new members.

Skills Required

  • Basic computer literacy with internet access to send/receive emails and access the Beacon database system, (training would be given).
